Today was an jam packed day. I am still affected by the jetlag considering I woke up 5 times during the night thinking it was morning but realizing I am in China after looking out the window into the dark sky. After going through Romans 3, we had barely 20 minutes to eat breakfast before leaving for the school. The first class was amazing; the kids were super polite and cooperated well with us. Although, there were one or two occasions when the class was confused, but this was also due to the fact that half of the class had 2008 workbooks and the other half had 2007, meaning different exercises were on different pages. The kids always seemed so happy when we showed them games, its probably because they study all day on a daily basis =/.
After our lesson, we arrived back to our hotel for lunch. This whole time I thought G wasn’t challenging me to anything for this trip, I was wrong, because today I realized I haven’t been eating well lately. Maybe I’m picky or the fact that I eat our too much, but I don’t seem to enjoy the food here and I eat really little rice (if you know me, you will know I eat 3 cups of rice for dinner back at home, meanwhile I eat about half a cup here). Please remember me and ask that I get out of my comfort zone as I am doing work for the Father.
We went to shop for supplies for the school (dodge balls, brushes, etc.) and were hoping to find a Laundromat to wash our clothes. As you can see in the picture, we got really bored and we started taking pictures of the busy streets, meanwhile I jumped in to ruin the picture. Nhat calls this picture “the little rock breaking the 3 stones” =.=. After our shopping session, we went into my room and started testing the balls by playing dodge ball =P. At first it was me and Nhat versus Jonathan, and then George and Jack came in to gang up on Nhat. Next Nathaniel showed up and we lured him into the room and ambushed him with pillows and balls ^^!! Next, we had a 3v3 dodge ball/ pillow fight (I call it Lord of the Rings LOL) which lasted for half an hour with all of us dying from the scorching heat after.
The evening game session was quite interesting, with me leading the games and Jack translating to the whole school, we were able to turn Octopus and Dodge ball into something fun. We even made them do the Chinese squat when they were listening to our instructions =). The school staff cooked us dinner, and the potatoes were the best food I had this weekend! I got back to our hotel brain dead, showered, took a nap, and then rehearsed my lesson with Jack tomorrow. So here I am summarizing my day to you and hope everyone is doing well in Toronto.
P.S. I am very encouraged by the teammates and can see G working in each of us making us one body. Please remember me and ask for the Father to give me energy and good health.Andy
