Today Nhat and I taught the children many things such as international holidays and short stories. We taught them the story of David and Goliath. I was Goliath because I am the tallest. Andy was David and Nhat was the King and Narrator. The students had a good laugh when Andy threw a "pebble" in between the eyes. It actually hurt. During our lunch break, Andy, Jack, Nathaniel and I helped each other to ride our ripsticks. We were with an university student named Ron who helped us. Jack needs more practice on the ripstick. Andy falls a lot but can ride the ripstick...sorta. Nathaniel learned how to turn today. I am the master ripsticker of the group.
Tomorrow we have a concert. The students are going to present something without the teachers to show that they actually learned something. The teachers are also going to have a couple skits. Tomorrow will also be the last day of teaching.
Our group, Nhat, George and I, is team basketball. For our presentation we are going to sing Seek ye First, This is the Day and our cheer. As well, the students are going to present a skit themselves to the whole school. For this presentation, we/all of the groups made a banner. Our banner is the best. It has a flaming basketball with angel wings in the middle with other stuff around it. It looks sick. Hopefully I can bring it home.
Oh ya, hope that George feels better for tomorrow. ;)
Thanks,
Jonathan
