20080802 Nhat - 7th day Dorm

Day going backward so I got my computer back for this blog and I am happy because I can use Word to type which helps with my English. Counting down the day and we only really have two and a half days left and (Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday morning). Five of us are going to Shanghai to relax for two days (Nhat, Nat, Andy, Jon, and Jack) because we travel so far and thought it would be good to do a side trip. This is not cover under the mission budget but from our own pocket so we have need to make sure we all have enough for our portion of the accommodation, transportation, and food.

Eat out at Suntray because I forgot to have dinner at school again due too busy or embedded in what I was doing with the students. I got a $4 Cdn watch that tells you the time in Mandarin – so you don’t need a light – LOL. Though I have to listen to it 3 times to understanding it.

Night event was more an exploration because I was chatting up a storm with Shirley’s class by helping in making bead crosses, though I think I got some of Andy’s students too because a students keep yelling to get his class back in to learn a song. Well, I don’t know who is who so I just kept teaching them making the cross.

I explored where I told the other teachers not to explore which is the student’s living dorms. Thought I made sure I had two or more with me and it was like a tour they were giving me. I will post pictures later to show and it was awesome to see it up front. I even took picture of the washroom that we all avoid at school. Only George and I have used the school washroom which is an experience in itself.

After the lunch event (yes, I am always the mastermind behind any good scheme), I was knock out cold from 2:30 – 4:00. I know G wanted to rest fully so I can be better used by him in the night.

Morning was quite an event for we have some students who did not cooperate with us and I gave them a five-minute breather to know that it is a class and not something to take advantage of. Unlike my other trips, these students do have classes beside ours. They have noon classes before we arrive at 5 pm and classes after we leave at 7 pm. So they are quite busy. Today, I saw their classes being taught Physic and in other classes, English were being taught. Therefore they have a heavy schedule and I forget to understand the stress they are under for they need to perform well because they are the “Hope” for their family.

Thanks for uplifting us, Nhat
