20080802- Another test (Andy)

Today started off pretty bad as I woke up, I felt that all my energy was drained. I slept in for our morning group devos and felt really bad. Please request that I will resist against the attacks from the bad guy below and that I will have the energy to do G’s work. This morning the kids were a bit more rowdy and I felt as if I was losing my patience, this was probably due to the fact that I was relying on myself. Skipping my personal devos last night and this morning did not allow me to rely on G, and therefore I was tired out. I did not give out much prizes today and told Jack to tell the kids I was not pleased with their behavior today.

During lunch, we ate a delicious meal followed by a huge cake for Albert’s 17th birthday. We had fun smudging cream on Albert’s face, but he got us all back…well with the help of Nhat (traitor). I took a nap afterwards and went to the school. We have decided to make nicknames for everyone on our team, since Nhat can’t differentiate the difference between Jack, George, and Albert even though they are clearly 3 completely different people. The nicknames are: Andy- Laugh Generator (Laughs the most and makes people laugh)
Nhat- Uncle Nhat (oldie =P)
Jonathan- Sleeping Beauty (Sleeps 12 hours a day)
Nathaniel- Beautiful Nat (song by James Blunt)
Jack- Guitar Hero (Leads all songs with guitar)
Albert- China GPS (He finds everything we need in the city)
George- Photographer (Has the most hardcore camera out of everyone)
Shirley- Telephone lady (Always calls us and thinks I’m Nhat…also she never gives up and keeps letting the phone ring)
Merlyn- Whitey #1 (Name says it all) Stephen- Whitey #2 (Name says it all)
Alfred- Uncle (He takes care of everything such as our hotel stuff, tickets, tours, etc.)
Alsie- Auntie (She takes care of us and does the same amount of work for us as Alfred…they’re married duh!)

Oh! I forget to write about how some lady owned my balling jeans T_T!! The bottom of my jeans were suppose to be ripped, but the Laundromat lady was so nice that she mended it and hemmed it for me. So now my jeans look stupid and much shorter err, oh well I appreciate how nice she is though. Please remember her and ask that the Son will be revealed to her. In the evening, we taught the kids “Tears in Heavens” by Eric Clapton. I can’t believe there is only three more days of teaching left; I’m definitely going to miss these kids. Thanks for keeping my in your p..yers. Everyone please remember me and request that continue to persevere everytime G tests me. Although I missed devos this morning and gave into my tiredness, I read all of John 12 today, which reminded me that not everyone has a heart for G. Therefore, I need to reach out to these kids with the best of my ability so they can have a greater hope in life than just having a career. Take care everyone!

Andy
