Today, I found out that I will be reporting a different manager when I return. This will be my fifth manager since joined TD Commercial division in July 2006. Mixed felling but too tired to analysis it. Charmaine stop scratching; Basil go home after 6 pm; Dru don’t use the short-cut; Bob, wait till I return to go for the ice-cream run. To the China members of my team, I love it here even though I don’t speak Mandarin or understand their English.
To Genesis, you are missing an awesome time – dodge ball in the room and pillow “fight”, then the two combined. Very exhausting but it really works the abs when you laugh hard. Victor, I got my 4-in-1 color pen again and this time, I am stocking up since I can only find it in KL for $1 Cdn. Thinking of you all and there is one student that looks like Regan but chosen Harry (Potter) as his English name. Harry is very bright and proactive in learning – He is in Andy & Jack’s class.
With this traveling, it reminds me of my vacation with my family in Hawaii. There is so much to do and so much little time to enjoy it all, though the bonding with each member was strengthened through all the interactions. The laughter and the stress to make sure everyone is on time and at the right place. Miss my family and hope that they are all doing well.
Side track back to KL, the first day of teaching was a whirlwind of frenzy. The cyclone started when we walked into our classes. Our expectation was that we have four classes but they were setup into two classes and therefore we were caught off guard. I think I was more shock for the team then for myself. The team was so FAT that it did not fazed them so I am really blessed to have such an amazing team. They all pitch in help each other and to really encourage each other strengths. We finally separated into four classes after an hour together.
I must say that I lack preparation or being a good communicator to my teaching team, who is Jonathan and George. Jonathan is wonderful in teaching and George is very energetic to help out. I need to plan more with them then just do ah-hoc teaching style. This is the sixth time using the same material to teach but without diligent planning, it does not show unity to the student.
The student was awe by the fact that Jonathan and George was their age and that I was more than twice their age. Therefore, I am called Uncle Nhat. We shorten Jonathan to Jon for the student though he does not response to his “new” English name.
Day ended for me about 8 pm since I was totally zone out by then. Brain dead and all time energy low. Reason for not completing my blog on the same day though I already have all the information laid out. G is good and He knows best what I need – sleep. LOL.
Much thanks and keep us in your p…rs. Thanks, Nhat
