20080726 Jonathan: First Two Days

My first reaction towards China was the weather. It is so hot, muggy and humid here! I was very tired the first day after about 18 hours worth in airports and airplanes. We went to our hotel that night to rest. Later that night we went to the night market and ate some food (mini-lobster, fried rice and beef bone). All of the food here is very spicy; I was practically dying when eating in the night market. The people here are very loud and aggressive. They always seem to be arguing with each other. After our meal we went to sleep. In the morning we had a solid breakfast (not spicy) and bused to KL. Along the way we saw many farm animals, mini-water falls and pastures. Rural China is much better than the cities. Once we arrived in KL we dropped our baggage at the hotel and visited a village. It was very stinky, dirty and gross. Afterwards we headed back to the hotel and went shopping. We returned and are currently resting in our rooms. So far this trip has been full of laughter, new experience and bonding with one another. ; )
