20080801 Nhat Day 6 - No Pain, No Gain

Finally got my journal book back from the students who did wonderful artworks on it, though I am too tired to update the last three days. Now, my laptop is being passed around for Internet so I miss my personal time on it because it has all my applications. Thank G we have Nat's laptop to use for blogging and emails.

Well, it is near the end and the crunch is on. The students seem to bond well with me, I believe. In Chinese, there is a saying "No fighting, no friendship" and I think I am at that stage with the them. The team members are already "fighting" out of loving kindness and now the my students are "fighting" with me because they are comfortable with me.

We did the balloons at night and the wordless bead story of JC. It was wonderful that share the story of the color beads and when we got to the red, I put down blood. Then they answer that it is the blood of G. I then ask them what is G's name? The all yelled it to be JC. I was surprise but took it as a sign that they are expose to the JC story. We make balloon hats and bead brackets or crosses. I was sitting on the table to avoid mosquitoes and helping the students to make the neckles or crosses. In the process of helping, I got to be the guinea pig a lot of balloon hats and light loving punches. One kid (not in my class), even aim at pulling my leg hair.

After all the beads were exhausted, we played the JC film. A few of the boys hanged with me. They educated me about kungful It somehow side-tracked to who is G and in their version of creation. Hope I have more of these conversation.

Dozing off, Nhat
