In my last blog I forgot to tell you guys that we went to another (fill in a tribe) village. Unlike the previous visit a (fill in a tribe) village, this village was cleaner and more comforting. It was roaming with roosters, chickens, pigs, ducks and all sorts of different animals. We even saw a water buffalo in the village. We visited the newly built (fill in a building) where we sang and met the pastor from the village. We then went over to the pastor's brother's house. All of the buildings, including the hotel, in China are not tall enough for me. I am forced to duck at certain times. Anyways, the house was not like a regular house in North America. Made out of wood, the house contained many tools and machines used to make rice. For example they had a grinder, shredder and a massive steamer (wok) to make the rice. The house was fairly small as well. The family of 6 which consisted of a father, mother, daughter, son and grandparents were forced to live in a very crowded space. This family also had a very, very, very skinny cat that ate rice and flies. The whole family operated and slept on the first floor. Surprisingly, they had a couch and a TV with surround sound. On the second floor loads of flour, grain, corn, seeds, vegetables and many other types of food were stored. This family has a very simple life compared to our lives in America.
Thanks,
Jonathan
