20080728- Another great day! (Andy)

Today my “bioclock” adapted much better and I was able to have ample rest. I also enjoyed breakfast much better, because I found soy sauce!! Without soy sauce and rice, I cannot function properly, therefore I felt really replenished after breakfast. Devos was on Romans 3 today which reminded that my faith is not by works and my righteousness is measured by how hard I try to follow G. We arrived to the school with high spirits as the turnout yesterday was amazing and I sensed the excitement in everyone. Jack and I went over some simple conversations today, some words to add to their vocabulary and oral reading. Of course being use to our Canadian culture, we gave them small breaks and played a game to make out teaching not interesting but also not repetitive. We also tried to make the groups more diverse, as the boys would only associate with the boys, and the girls with the girls.

Lunch was awesome with the seaweed, tomatoes, and egg soup the Chinese “popcorn chicken” =). After lunch, we found a Laundromat to wash our clothes and my 4 sets of clothes only came up to 30 Yuan (Less than $5 Canadian). Shortly after, we went shopping in the superstore to find DVDs for the kids to watch and more dodge balls, since the games were going quite slow with only 2 games in each game yesterday. We returned to our hotel room and played Lord of the Rings…again. I sacked both Nathaniel and Albert so badly; while Jack was owning Jonathan haha we killed them. However, Nathaniel, Albert, and Jonathan all ganged up on me after and doggy piled me to redeem themselves…which hurt >_<. Yes, our team bonding is going pretty well (the picture shows it all)! Anyhow, moving on to the serious stuff, I’m really excited to see what the Father is going to do with these kids and I am beginning to love these kids. I am trying to talk to them during their breaks, but there is a language barrier and I would need Jack or Albert to be there and help me translate. Me and Nhat had an interesting talk while we were waiting for the dodge balls to arrive to the store, and Nhat was very tempted to witness to this guy, but held back for a bit. However, he did it eventually…well the guy kind of indirectly ignored him the first time cause of a customer, but the second time we found out he has been to C before. In fact there is one on the mountain apparently, and for sure when I’m doing devos, I will remember this guy, and I hope everyone else will too. The evening session rained out so instead of playing our number game, we played Nemo (haha reminds me of a certain joke I made to my “best friend”…aka the gremlin LOL) and the Incredibles in two classrooms, while a small group of boys went with Jack, Jonathan, and George to play Chinese chess. This one boy was so pro he took down George and Jack, but Jonathan beat him, with the help of the other 2 haha cheaters. My requests are for G to give me more energy in the evening as I get the most tired during that time, and thank you everyone for remembering me as I am perfectly healthy and I only had two mosquitoes bites, but the ones here are soft cause they quickly went away and did not puff up as it usually would. Glad to hear Genesis went 3-1 during the crazy weekend and lost to Seraphs as I’ve predicted, but it was a close game apparently. Good job guys!! Take care everyone! I am missing all of you and remembering all of you when I talk to the Father. Andy

P.S. Sitting on the toilet really gave me time to think about each and every single person remembering me…haha thought you had to know =P.
