Waking up in the hotel of Guiyang after 5 hours of sleep surprisingly felt amazing. We did devos on Romans 2 and it made me ask one question: Do we practice what we teach? Breakfast was awesome, I had 5 servings in total of different stuff, because the stuff was so good. Next, we went to the airport to pick up Stephen and Merilyn and join up with Alsie and Alfred to meet for the very first time. They were really great people and I had a great time introducing myself to them and it felt like I known them for a while already, because we had so much to talk about particularly with our excitement with what the Father will do on this trip with us. After a meal at lunch for 280 yuan (about $40 Canadian), we traveled 3 hours to the village of where our students lived (Miao Village).
I was so joyful the whole trip, because I was enjoying the scenery of what He made. There the Father showed me to a whole different world that I only saw on TV before. I was so thankful, because I realized how fortunate I was to not live in those conditions. Hopefully we can show love to these kids and show them there is more to life than just the trials and sufferings they are going through right now. After the visit, we shopped for about 2 hours and had dinner, where I was just brain dead from the lack of sleep and hot weather. After dinner, me and my partner Jack rehearsed and planned our lesson for tomorrow, which is kind of weird, because the first day is a Sunday. After our preparation, we brought all our requests to the Father and I did my personal devos. So here I am 10:49 in a hotel typing up my day. Hope everyone is remembering me back in Toronto!
P.S. Please remember to request for me to have energy and the focus I need to teach this class.
Andy
